The genesis of Wintergarten was a governance meeting in a major Australian organisation. A group of consultants from a reputable firm were presenting their findings on a project seeking to absolve the lax, condemn the absent, and misrepresent the facts. Godfrey sat in the meet in disbelief – only to be told later that the fiction was produced to “built business” for the consulting firm regardless of the impact on existing, hard working project people. In disbelief he started his own company!
Wintergarten was born of a frustration with traditional firms and a strong desire to continue the work of mentoring and capability uplift within organisations through supporting and nurturing internal capability through the experience of execution. We seek to bring together like minded professionals who can not only meet an organisations goals – but make lasting change in the internal capability to manage change.
Our name was chosen to represent the promise of spring that winter holds for every garden (and with a healthy nod to familial links to Germany!). Things often seem the bleakest before new growth – and we are about building that growth for you, your customers and your people.
